Thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets of the Catalan capital Barcelona to call on their government to take in more refugees and war victims. The march was organized in support of a call by the Catalan regional government on the EU, demanding the block to refrain from erecting fences along their borders and to provide basic services for refugees.
