Tehran committed to JCPOA: Deputy FM

Tehran has reiterated its commitment to the Iran nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action or JCPOA.

Abbas Araqchi made the remarks in a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov in Moscow. The two diplomats held comprehensive discussions to boost bilateral relations as well as cooperation over the nuclear accord. For his part, Ryabkov described the JCPOA as a core element of stabilizing international relations. He added that Russia attaches great importance to progressive, positive and constructive ties with Iran. The nuclear deal was reached between the Islamic Republic and the P5+1 group of counties in July 2015.
