Syrian army advance toward al-Bab city in north

The Syrian army and allied forces are gaining more ground against terrorists across the country.

In the northern province of Aleppo, the Syrian army advancing toward the city of al-Bab reached an area within only one kilometer from the Key Daesh bastion. The Takfiri group has executed 40 people in the city. In Western Syria, government troops repelled an attack by terrorist groups on a number of military posts in the northeastern countryside of Latakia. A number of terrorists were killed and some others injured. In Homs province, the army has taken control of some areas west of the city of Palmyra. The ancient city was liberated in March 2016 but fell to Daesh later in the year.
