The demonstrators congregated peacefully near Munich’s iconic Stachus square holding anti- NATO placards. They described the western military bloc as being the war machine of the U-S, and called for world peace without weapons. The demonstration comes as high ranking figures from around the world gather at a nearby venue attending the 53rd session of the Munich Security Conference. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and U-S Vice President Mike Pence are among those present at year’s meeting.
