"Moscow to be held accountable over Ukraine

The US Vice President has tried to appease his European allies with his stark criticism of Russia over the crisis in eastern Ukraine.
Mike Pence was delivering his first major foreign policy address for the new US administration at the Munich Security Conference in Germany. He said Washington would continue to hold Russia accountable if the spiral of violence in Ukraine continued. He, however, added that President Trump is searching for new ways to cooperate with Moscow. Mike Pence also assured the US commitment to the European Union and the western military alliance, NATO. Europeans remain skeptical about Trump’s foreign policies, especially with regard to Russia. Pence has scheduled meetings with the leaders of several Baltic States and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to discuss regional issues.
