Iraqi troops in full control of Mosul intl. airport

Iraqi forces take full control of Mosul International Airport as they push ahead with their offensive to liberate the western side of the city from Daesh terrorists. The Iraqi troops retook the airport following a blitz from south of Mosul. They’ve also stormed a nearby military base. The site can be used as a launch-pad for the operation aimed at liberating the western half of Mosul. The city fell to Daesh in 2014. The liberation of Mosul will end the presence of the terror group in Iraq’s urban areas.
