
Iran’s foreign minister has hailed the Economic Cooperation Organization saying the West and Central Asian bloc provided a unique ground for cooperation among its member states.
Zarif made the remarks as he arrived in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, to attend the 22nd Meeting of the ECO Council of Foreign Ministers. During the meeting on Tuesday, Iran, as the current head of the ECO Council of Foreign Ministers, will hand over the rotating presidency to Pakistan. Tehran hosted the 21st meeting in November 2013 where the presidency was passed to the Islamic Republic from the Republic of Azerbaijan.
