Iran says no change in Riyadh's behavior

Iran has said there has been no change in Saudi Arabia’s behavior and that Riyadh has yet to renounce its past destructive policies.
Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani made the comments in response to a question on the Saudi Foreign Minister’s visit to Iraq. Shamkhani also said Riyadh has failed to make up for their mistakes. He added that it is not easy to forget the Saudis’ role in the creation of terrorist groups and the resulting damage to regional countries including Iraq and Syria. He dismissed some foreign officials’ remarks that raise questions about why Takfiri terror attacks do not take place in Iran. He noted that terrorists can operate where they can find sympathizers. Shamkhani said Iran’s social, cultural and political fabric does not let terror groups’ extremist views thrive. He added that the nation’s security apparatus is also a major obstacle in the way of acts of terrorism.
