Iran marks Islamic revolution anniversary

Millions of Iranians have rallied nationwide to mark the 38th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

The nationwide rallies mark the day Iranians, led by the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, put an end to the monarchical rule of the Pahlavi regime in 19-79. The demonstrators stressed that Iran’s defense capabilities, including its missile program and the country’s security, are non-negotiable under any circumstances. At the same time, the demonstrators made a distinction between American people and the U-S government. They chanted slogans against the Trump administration and carried placards thanking American people for supporting Muslims.
