Bahraini police clash with protesters in Bani Jamreh

Clashes have erupted between Bahraini forces and anti-government protesters on the streets of Bani Jamreh.

Police used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators who threw hand-made firebombs. There were also similar protests in several other regions of the Persian Gulf kingdom. Angry protesters denounce the killing of three activists at the hands of authorities. Manama alleges that they were linked to a prison break last month. The Bahraini regime, backed by Saudi Arabia, has killed dozens of anti-government activists since the start of the popular uprising in 20-11.
