Hundreds of protesters have staged a rally in New York on the second consecutive day of demonstrations against US President Donald Trump across the country.
The demonstrators chanted slogans against Trump, calling for democracy and constitutional rights. The protesters also held placards condemning Trump’s racism and calling for a new president. There were also protests in Chicago and Los Angeles as part of coordinated rallies called in over 100 cities across the US. Organizers are pushing for mass walkouts from work and schools in a show of dissent. Trump has faced mass protests from the first day he took office almost a month ago. Part of the controversy is over his executive order that bans entry to all refugees and travelers from seven Muslim countries.
