
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has convened an emergency meeting with top security and military leaders; hours after Daesh terrorists launched a deadly attack in the capital Baghdad.
The officials discussed the situation in Baghdad and issued directives for the security forces to prevent similar terror attacks. On Thursday, a bomb blast in a busy market in southern Baghdad killed 59 people and injured many more. Daesh carries out similar attacks in the capital every now and then in an effort to hamper the Iraqi army’s operations against the terrorist group.
