3:05 NAM slams new US sanctions against Iran

The Non-Aligned Movement has condemned the recent unilateral actions by the US against Iran including Washington’s new sanctions on the Islamic Republic

In a statement, the Office of the Non-Aligned Movement in New York described such moves by the US government as a violation of the UN Charter and international law. The statement also expressed solidarity with the Islamic Republic and the Iranian people in the face of the US sanctions and demanded the White House stop taking unilateral measures against other countries. It noted that Iran has lived up to its obligations under the nuclear deal with the P-five-plus-one and has fully implemented the agreement. The organization further urged all countries to support the implementation of the nuclear deal and avoid measures which could undermine it.
