1:35 President Zuma says South Africa is not a xenophobic country

Calm has returned to the Attridgeville areas in the capital, Pretoria. Protests against foreigners took place there on Friday. South African President Jacob Zuma says the march was not due to xenophobia - but rather a protest against illegal immigrants. He says South Africans are not xenophobic and cautioned the media against labelling the protests as such. He also warned political leaders against sending hateful messages. Describing the outbreak of violence as complex, Zuma called on both South Africans and foreign nationals to be more tolerant of each other
