British parliament to debate visit on February 20 with u.s president Trump

British lawmakers are due to hold the debate on February 20 to decide on whether Trump’s trip should be downgraded. At the same time, MPs will also debate a counter petition that calls for Trump to proceed with a state visit as it has passed the 100-thousand threshold. Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn has urged Prime Minister Theresa May to listen to Britons urging the government to cancel the visit that could see Trump address both houses of parliament. On Monday, thousands of Britons joined nationwide protests against Trump’s travel ban on seven Muslim-majority countries.
